Another horror show was watched as the Main slipped to defeat against Thoresby CW.

The game commenced in windy conditions which both teams did well to cope with. Neither team looked like scoring until the 32 minutes when woeful defending was punished by King who slotted home for Thoresby to give them the lead. The Main looked as though they would go in at half time one down but Thorseby had other ideas. Scothern again punishing the Main to give Thoresby an unbelievable two goal advantage going in at half time.

The second half saw Hoff replace Hawthorne but this was undone immediatley after the restart when King scored Thoresbys third and with it claim the three points. The Main made a double substitution on 55 minutes with Handley and Jones being replaced by Dawson and Wilson. This gave the Main a little more but it was not enough as Thoresby defended stoutly. On 90 minutes the Main were awarded a penalty which Betts dispatched but it was all in vain as the final whistle came shortly afterwards.
